Nick: Thanks. This one is a little darker than the other two, a little more twisted in more spots.

John: I'm looking forward to it myself. The cover is kind of stark but interesting. Like I was saying to nick, somewhat darker over all. We'll see.

Just re-read (your story) The Drowned Life. It'll be classified as Fantasy/Surrealism. But it's prescient in the way Science Fiction is supposed to be. Jules Verne meets George Bush. You predicted the current financial crunch. Funny and scary.

Rick: Now that you mention it, I did predict that, but there were a whole lot of people who didn't need Jules Verne to see the future. I mean mostly the ones who've gone under already. What's unemployment at now?

Looking forward to it! Are those two (instead of just one) previously unpublished stories I see? =)

Charles: Two, count em two. Neither is Kafkaesque.

That's great news. Hopefully the critics stop using the K word. =P

That looks like it's going to be a great book.

Just out of curiousity, wasn't The Yellow Chamber going to be in the T.O.C at one point or another. It's no big deal, just wondering why it was cut (It's also one of my personal favourites of yours).

Thanks Jeff

Ps really looking forward to the shadow year.

Jonathan: Thanks. Glad you like "The Yellow Chamber." I've not forgotten it, but am saving it in hopes of yet another collection. I'm already about half way there. I try to get the right mix with a collection and that one wasn't a fit this time. Sorry. Hope you like Shadow Year.
