If you want to read some french writers, you could start by Mélanie Fazi, translated in the may 2005 issue of F&SF and The 3rd Alternative issue 40. My friens Léa Silhol had a story translated in the anthology Outsiders, and we are very happy because His story Emblemata will be in Interfictions, the anthology by Theodora Goss and Delia Sherman. You could try too this collection by Jean-Claude Dunyach, The Night Orchid :
